There is a serious shortage of egg donors and long waiting lists are often
encountered in any infertility clinics. Egg sharing was introduced as a means
of overcoming the lack of donor eggs. The egg sharing arrangement involves
two parties:
| The Donor Couple: |
They are the couple requiring A.R.T. for the treatment of their own infertility. The couple may be offered the option of entering an egg sharing program whereby the female partner shares / donates a number of her eggs during her treatment and thus becomes an egg sharer. An egg sharer will be entitled to a significant reduction in the cost of her treatment.

| The Recipient Couple: |
They are the couple who requires donor eggs. The recipient will receive donor eggs from a patient undergoing infertility treatment at the same time.

At Victory A.R.T. Laboratories, both the donor and recipient couples are adequately counseled, screened and made aware of the psychological, moral and legal implications of egg sharing before they are accepted into the programme.
